Life was to be an endless cycle of anxiety, depression, and unmet expectations for me. From childhood through adulthood, and even into my career as an attorney, I always felt like I was on the brink of collapse. Despite brief periods of relief offered by therapy, meditation, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the root of my anxiety remained untouched. I was barely holding it together.
I had always believed that life would get better as I got older. But instead, as responsibilities grew, so did my suffering. My mental health struggles not only affected me but had repercussions on the people around me—when panic attacks struck, I found myself running away from pressure and responsibility, creating a vicious cycle that I thought was inescapable.
During law school, these issues escalated dramatically. What was once occasional panic became a daily struggle. A dark cloud overshadowed my life, and I had nearly given up hope, believing I would never escape this cycle of despair. For years, I lived with the looming fear of being 'found out,' that my struggles would cost me my career and reputation.
As I transitioned from law school into professional practice, my struggles followed me like a shadow. The high-stakes environment, long hours, and constant scrutiny exacerbated my anxiety and depression. The expectations were crushing, and I knew I couldn't sustain this way of living much longer. In a desperate move, I left my legal career behind. The immediate aftermath was worse than I had anticipated; without a professional anchor, I felt utterly lost, sinking even deeper into the chasm of my own mental health struggles.
It was during this rock-bottom phase that I stumbled upon transformative techniques that completely altered my perspective on healing. The shift was profound; I moved from merely managing symptoms to addressing the root causes of my emotional pain.
Armed with this newfound clarity and sense of purpose, I began to synthesize these techniques with my two decades of meditation experience. The result was a unique, holistic approach to mental well-being that I named Retrocession. Consistently applying this method, I successfully neutralized the triggers of my anxiety and sadness. The transformation was extraordinary—I transitioned from feeling trapped in an endless loop of emotional pain to experiencing life in its fullest, most vibrant form.
But I didn't stop there. Retrocession became a way to tackle even mundane hurdles, like procrastination and everyday stress. It became my go-to tool for confronting life's challenges head-on.
